JACKSONVILLE, FL – Operation Support Military Golf (OSMG) announced on Monday that servicemembers from Troops First, a foundation co-founded by former golfer and current golf personality David Feherty, would be teeing it up in the OSMG Invitational to be held November 22 and 23 at Windy Harbor Golf Club in Mayport, Florida.
“We are so excited to have our medically retired military community, also known as Wounded Warriors, represented by servicemembers from Mr. Feherty’s Troops First Foundation at the OSMG Invitational,” said OSMG Chairman & CEO, Jennifer Poth.
“David Feherty and Rick Kell (Troops First Executive Director) and their amazing team have been supportive of OSMG’s mission since our first meeting in 2013 during one of their meetings in Washington, D.C., and we are very grateful to reciprocate such support by involving Troop First servicemembers in our event.”
Specifically, Troops First is 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to addressing relationship building, mentoring, reintegration and looking forward for our Wounded Warriors and their families through several programs and specialized events.
With the backing and support of more than 22 PGA Tour players, sponsors, and partners, the OSMG Invitational hopes to raise in excess of $1M for improvements at Windy Harbor Golf Club, the base golf course located at Naval Station Mayport.
